Let’s create a grounded, supportive space
where you can slow down, reflect, and
make sense of what’s happening in your
life.

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood. Therapy is a space for
honest conversation, one where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or
have all the answers. My role is to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help
you explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment.

This work matters to me because it’s about helping people reconnect with themselves, clarify what they want, and move forward with greater intention. It’s a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate both present challenges and long-standing patterns, and to support their growth with curiosity, respect, and care.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with
my spouse, our children, and our
rambunctious dog, who is fully convinced our
son is his littermate. To date, our son is
undefeated in enthusiasm but winless in
physical challenges against the dog, which
remains endlessly entertaining to watch.

I also value experiences that stretch
perspective, whether that’s traveling to new
places, trying unfamiliar foods, or learning
about different cultures. These moments of
curiosity, connection, and humor help keep
me grounded and bring balance to both my
life and my work.

Chad Dixon is a pre-licensed mental health professional currently completing his Master
of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at East Carolina University, with an anticipated graduation in 2027. He brings a distinctive second-career perspective to his clinical work, shaped by over 15 years of leadership experience within human resources software organizations. Chad earned his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Behavior and later completed
a Master of Arts degree in Human Resources from Rollins College. Prior to entering the counseling field, he worked in a range of operational and leadership roles, most recently serving as Director of Operations for a global team of over 100 colleagues. Through this work, he developed skills central to effective therapy, including deep listening, navigating complexity, and supporting individuals through periods of sustained pressure and change. Chad is completing his clinical training under the supervision of Julia Forehand, LCMHCS, NCC, ACS. His work is informed by trauma- informed and attachment-focused principles, with exposure to approaches emphasizing nervous system regulation and emotional processing. He approaches counseling with curiosity and steadiness, valuing a collaborative space where clients can deepen self-understanding and move forward with greater clarity and intention.
