Clinical Director - Burlington
Taking the first step to seek mental health treatment with the social stigma and stereotypes around the world can be challenging in itself. Stigma and stereotypes can cause people to not seek help for fear of the unknown and being judged by others. My style is to provide an open safe supportive environment for clients to discuss their issues without judgment. My goal is to have an open dialogue with clients about their goals and outcomes in treatment. My philosophy is to tailor therapy to meet client's needs and use strengths perspectives to empower change.

Hi my name is Heather Simpson and I have been working in the mental health field as a therapist since May of 2016. I am a down to earth type of person with a quirky sense of humor. Outside of being a clinician, I enjoy being able to laugh and enjoy myself with those that I care about in a variety of settings. I am a nerd at heart and love learning new things.
I was born and raised in the Tar Heel State. When I am not seeing clients, I enjoy reading, doing yoga, spending time with my beagle Macy May, hanging out with friends, spending time with family, binge watching different true crime shows, and I am a movie buff.
