My experience as a single parent has shaped my "can do" approach to life. It has taught me to stay flexible, resourceful, and open to growth- whether I am trying new hobbies like fencing or Mahjong, taking on DIY home improvement projects, or practicing flexible thinking in everyday situations.
As a college student, I considered becoming a lawyer. Interestingly, my work as a therapist calls on many of the same skills that first drew me to law: advocacy, understanding, and meaningful support of others.
Jennifer Boyce, MSW, LCSWA is a therapist at Reclaim Counseling and Wellness's Charlotte location. She also provides therapy virtually in North Carolina. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island and her Master if Social Work from Winthrop University.
Jennifer provides therapy for adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples navigating social, educational, and relational challenges. Her clinical work focuses on life transitions, communication barriers, decision-making, and the complex dynamics of single parent households, as well as support of neurodivergent individuals and those struggling with substance use disorders.
Drawing on psychodynamic, narrative, and cognitive behavioral approaches, she offers a thoughtful, collaborative, and individualized therapeutic experience. She is currently training in the Gottman Method for Couples therapy.
