You should never have to apologize for your emotions.

Therapy is about creating a safe space that balances being heard and supported with being challenged to grow and heal, and the most meaningful work is built on the trusting relationship between you and your therapist. You deserve to feel comfortable and accepted while being your most authentic self, and you will always be encouraged to come as you are. Because this process is different for everybody and you know yourself better than anyone else, therapy should be unique and flexible to your goals and needs.

My friends call me an optimistic realist.

As a therapist, I’m always hopeful for positive change, and as a human being, I recognize that sometimes life is just tough.

My introduction to therapy began when I was in sixth grade due to battles with anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. While people (myself included) love to joke about how dreadful those middle school years were, finding therapy and realizing that I could heal and take my power back was something that changed the trajectory of my life. Having been in therapy throughout different phases of life, I know first hand how vulnerable and nerve-wracking the process can be, and I also know how valuable and important it is to building a life worth living. Now being a therapist myself, it has been the biggest honor to be on the other side of the therapeutic relationship and to be a part of my clients’ journeys.

In my life outside of being a therapist, I find happiness and peace in long walks around Charlotte’s different neighborhoods, watching any and all Bravo shows, trying every Mexican restaurant in the city, and spending time with the people I love.
