Victory is attainable.

While working through difficult issues or past traumas can be uncomfortable, you can find peace, joy, freedom, and purpose in your journey toward healing. As a therapist, LaKeisha values creating a supportive and safe space where others can feel free to express themselves without judgment. And she is committed to being empathetic, a good listener, and trustworthy while helping clients to achieve their goals. She enjoys working with those who are ready to heal and grow.

Gaming enthusiast. Sports fan. Trauma-informed therapist.

For those that know me, know that I am a textbook introvert. However, I tend to find humor in any situation, and I love to laugh (funny memes, gifs, and TikToks are a few of my love languages)! Life can be serious at times, which is all the more reason to find something to smile and laugh about, despite the circumstances you may face.

When I’m not in session, you can find me doing “introvert things”: playing video games on my Xbox, listening to music and my favorite podcasts, watching football and basketball (Go Tar Heels!), traveling, taking walks in nature, reading, and binge-watching shows on Netflix.

LaKeisha Baldwin is a therapist at Reclaim Counseling and Wellness's Burlington location. She also provides therapy virtually in North Carolina. LaKeisha received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Elon University in 2006 and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2023. LaKeisha enjoys working with college students and adults who suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, life transitions, and stress-related issues.

She is an EMDR-trained therapist and is working towards completing her EMDR certification to help those dealing with the aftermath of trauma and other negative life experiences. LaKeisha believes in using a client-centered and holistic approach to therapy, focusing on what helps each unique individual move forward in the healing process. In the past, LaKeisha has worked with clients using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Christian counseling. She has also been trained in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Somatic Therapy, and The Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
