Mara Tabor

Boy mom and health enthusiast who is an empathetic leader and connector.

I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!) but have lived in Charlotte for the past 18 years. I’m now a Southern girl at heart. My husband and I have been married for almost 10 years and have two sweet boys who keep us on our toes. At work and at home, I’m the Queen of organization and structure, but being a boy mom has taught me to be more spontaneous and try new things. It’s also taught me patience and lots of dinosaur facts.

I love traveling as well as being outdoors whether it’s the beach, the mountains, or the tennis court. Living a healthy and active lifestyle is something I’m passionate about as well.

Mara Tabor is the Director of the Reclaim Counseling & Wellness office in Charlotte. Mara received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Minor in Business with a concentration in Marketing from John Carroll University in 2003. She spent four years in Cleveland working in Sales before moving to Charlotte in 2006 to begin a career in recruiting. She worked at TEKsystems for 13 years, first as a Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist and then as a Manager of the Talent Acquisition Team.

Mara left Corporate America to join her mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Julia Tabor and Ashley Trotter, at Reclaim Counseling & Wellness in April 2022. She opened the Charlotte office that September and has continued to operate the office and build a team of therapists who are passionate about helping their clients. Mara works closely with our referral partners to network and build relationships as well as with our clients around scheduling and billing.
