Beaches, Books, and the Beauty of Becoming

When I’m not in session, you can usually find me near the beach, book in hand, soaking up the sound of the waves. Joy and laughter are my jam, and I believe there’s something powerful about slowing down and finding peace in the small moments. Family is everything to me—they keep me grounded, grateful, and constantly reminded of what matters most.

I’m a lover of good music, great stories, and deep conversations that help people make sense of where they’ve been and where they’re headed. That same energy shows up in my work as a therapist. My goal is to create a space where people feel safe to show up as their full selves—messy parts and all—and begin to rediscover their strength, peace, and sense of joy.

Melanie Powers, MA, LCMHCA is a therapist at Reclaim Counseling and Wellness.
