Her background working across multiple age groups—from early childhood through young adulthood—has shaped a grounded and adaptable approach to connecting with others.
She enjoys being involved in her church community, investing in her family, and spending time with her children. Her work is rooted in a genuine desire to walk alongside others as they grow, heal, and move forward with confidence.
Rachel Cantaffa, LCMHCA, is a therapist at Reclaim Counseling and Wellness’s Burlington location and provides therapy virtually across North Carolina. Rachel earned her master’s degree in counseling and is currently midway through her PhD program in Developmental Psychology, further strengthening her expertise in human development across the lifespan.
Rachel has experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults, with a focus on anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Her professional background includes service in the Marine Corps, as well as experience in daycare and preschool settings, high school teaching, middle school counseling, and elementary education.
She utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Family Systems Therapy, and Play Therapy. Rachel is passionate about helping clients build practical tools while also addressing the deeper areas needed for lasting growth and change.
