Therapy isn't a quick fix, and it won't always feel clear or easy. Some days you'll feel like you're on top of things, like everything is finally starting to click, and other days might feel heavy, stuck, or confusing, and both matter. Real change happens by continuing to show up, even when it's uncomfortable, and giving yourself space to understand what's really going on beneath the surface. You are the expert of your own life, and this space is centered around you: your pace, your needs, and your goals.
When I’m not in session, you might find me cheering loudly for the Carolina Panthers, skating on a smooth trail, sweating it out in Pilates or Zumba, or preparing for my first 5K one day. I've also been falling in love with boat days on the lake with friends, especially when the sunset turns everything orange and pink. It's a little messy, a little magical, and exactly what I need. Lavender tea in hand, reading a psychological thriller on my Kindle, or just sitting quietly and noticing the world around me are my ways to recharge.
Being a wife and mom also shows me the beauty in life's fleeting moments and helps me stay present, even when the house gets messy. All of this keeps me grounded so I can show up in session as myself: human, real, and ready to meet you where you are.
