Adolescents, Adults, & Couples | Maternal & Perinatal Support, Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions
People thrive when they are understood, accepted and cared for by others. This is why therapy can be an asset for people who want to make changes and grow. When things are hard to handle on our own, it can be helpful to talk with someone who can be objective and understanding. I believe that the therapist-client relationship is a mutually exclusive relationship: where you are free to open up and explore reasons for change and I am there to offer insight and impartial support.
I became a therapist because of my desire to help others lead happier, more fulfilling lives. I love being able to work with my clients to meet their goals and to then see them accomplish what they set out to do. I agree with the statement that “laughter is the best medicine” and often incorporate humor into sessions.
I am a North Carolina native and grew up on a farm. I have a Southern accent and have many Southern phrases I tend to pepper into conversation. I have been told I am an old soul and enjoy true crime and the Golden Girls. Outside of work, I love to be creative-you can often find me working on a craft or home project. I also love spending time with my husband, family and friends-and of course my 11 year old Chihuahua, Ruby.
